Southern Stars returns in 2026 with Take Flight – an unforgettable journey of imagination, discovery and possibility.
More than 3,500 students from across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, South Coast, Southern Highlands and beyond will bring this extraordinary production to life. Featuring 2,500 dancers, a 500-voice choir, an 80-piece orchestra, featured vocalists, drama ensembles and specialty performers, Southern Stars continues to showcase the remarkable talent, dedication and creativity of NSW public school students.
Audiences will experience breathtaking choreography, powerful music, stunning visual storytelling and beloved Southern Stars favourites including the Millennial Marching Band, Circus 35 Degrees South, Rising Stars and the Southern Stars Performing Company.
As the journey unfolds, audiences will travel from the excitement of departure and discovery to a heartfelt return home, celebrating the connections, memories and experiences that shape who we are.
Executive Producer Neal Reed said Take Flight is more than a show theme.
"Take Flight is an invitation for young people to believe in their potential, embrace opportunities and have the confidence to pursue their dreams. Through every performance, our students remind us that imagination, courage and determination can take us further than we ever imagined."
